Faced with the demands of everyday life, many of us rarely have the time to truly focus on our goals and desires, let alone how to best go about actually realizing them. Calendars are packed full with obligations months in advance and, thanks to Blackberry and iPhone, people can reach us 24/7.
It's comparatively easy to set a goal at work, or even a personal goal for the next year. Albeit practical, in following these short-term goals for their quick turnaround and sense of achievement, we run the risk of becoming distracted and losing site of our important life goals.
This could mean that we stand there, at the end of our life, and find ourselves at the finish line of a race that wasn't truly ours to begin with. Or suddenly we can't find a real purpose in our daily tasks, leading to an overwhelming "crisis of purpose".
